Therefore the BK Organization received, along all these years, innumerable merits of public recognition, such as the Federal Title of Public Utility, several other State and City Titles of Public Utility, as well as other acknowledgements from bodies of the civil society:
2008 – Municipal Title of Public Utility
Serra Negra-SP - Brahma Kumaris was declared as municipal public utility, by Law 3025 of March 11, 2008.
2006 - Alferes Tiradentes Medal
Belo Horizonte-MG – The Alferes Tiradentes Medal was granted to Brahma Kumaris by the Minas Gerais Military Police on June 9, 2006.
2004 - Municipal Title of Public Utility
Lauro de Freitas-BA - Brahma Kumaris received the Municipal Title of Public Utility, by Law 27, of 2004.
2003 – Motion of Congratulations
Rio de Janeiro-RJ – Title granted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
2002 –Lotus Award
As acknowledgement for the work in favor or Yoga: from the Brazilian Yoga Confederation – CBY; from the Yoga Latin-American Union – ULY and the Puma Yoga Ashram.
2001 – Municipal Title of Public Utility

Piracicaba-SP - Brahma Kumaris received a Motion of Applause for the twenty years of activities in the city of Piracicaba, by the City Council of Piracicaba, on May 17, 2001.
2000 – Federal Title of Public Utility
Brahma Kumaris was granted the Federal Title of Public Utility by decree of March, 2000.
2000 - Municipal Title of Public Utility
Limeira-SP - Brahma Kumaris received the Municipal Title of Public Utility, according to decree 328 of December 11, 2000.
1998 – State Title of Public Utility
Salvador-BA – December 29– “Declares of public utility (Law 7386) the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre, headquartered in the city of Salvador, Office of the President of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Bahia, in Antônio Honorato – President.”

Belo Horizonte-MG – December 30– State titles of public utility granted to BK by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Minas Gerais, draft legislative bill of Representative Agostinho Patrus.
1996 – Honor by the City Council
Salvador-BA – The Salvador City Council does honor to Brahma Kumaris in a special session requested by councilwoman Yolanda Pires no December 3, 1996 at 8 o’clock PM in the Cosme de Farias Plenary Assembly.
1996 – Public Declaration
Simões Filho-BA – The Simões Filho City Hall, through the intermediary of its Health Department, on April 30, 1996, declared that the courses given by Brahma Kumaris on individual and interpersonal education, during the second term of 1995, presented positive results for the improvement of quality of life and work relationships.

São Paulo-SP – by Law 7237 of May 10, 1991, Brahma Kumaris received the Title of Public Utility in the State of São Paulo.
1988 – Title of Promoter of Peace
Rio de Janeiro-RJ – BK receives the title of “Peace Promoter” by the Baha’i do Brasil community as acknowledgement of services in favor of the ideals of peace and brotherhood, valorization of human beings and dedication to their wellbeing.
