BKs in Brighton

The centre for Brighton & Hove (known as the Brighton Centre) has been active here on the South Coast since 1984. It provides a peaceful, tranquil haven offering a range of courses, talks, workshops, seminars and day retreats on meditation and self development.

Since 1984 we have hosted two Brahma Kumaris’ international projects: ‘Million Minutes of Peace’ and ‘Global Co-operation for a Better World’ inviting residents and tourists to the area to donate minutes of peace through prayer, reflection and meditation to create a better world.

We have hosted a series of one day programs ‘Spiritual Skills’ for Health Care Workers and for those working in Education. These took place over a period of five years and were extremely well attended.

The annual ‘Brighton Festival’ is a major local event, where we organize programs, with concerts and seminars being particularly popular.

The Brighton Centre has created workshops and seminars for ‘Just Women’. Since 2005 ‘Spirituality and Men’ a national project, has also been run by us. Both programs are held on a monthly basis.

Our popular courses on Raja Yoga meditation and Positive Thinking are ongoing and new courses start at the beginning of every month.

Regular features are our ‘One Day Events’ Managing Stress, Self Esteem, One Day Retreats and recently, '4 Faces of Women'.

As well as Brighton and Hove we also hold seminars, courses and retreats in Tunbridge Wells, Crawley, Crowborough and Eastbourne.
