Progress to Date
Since 1999, over 1000 men from a great variety of racial, cultural, faith and social backgrounds have attended one or more programmes.
In addition to the regular monthly programmes in London, we organise an annual retreat for men at the Global Retreat Centre, near Oxford. We have also organised four national events - ‘Men, Responsibility and Power: Towards a New Consciousness’ (2002), ‘The Courage to Love’ (2004), ‘From Taking to Giving - spiritual solutions for a world in crisis’ (2006) and ‘The Secrets of Lasting Happiness’ (2008) and ‘The Secrets of Inner Power’ (2009).
Spirituality and Men (SAM) groups are to be found in Germany, Holland, USA, South America, Mauritius, the West Indies and South Africa.
The Future
We look forward to a time when spiritual self-development programmes for men are just as common and popular as programmes for women. Men’s need for spiritual sustenance is becoming more apparent and such programmes provide a wonderful opportunity for like-minded men to come together to share and support each other and develop their spirituality in a practical way.
One day all men will once more recognise and value their innate goodness and will play their part in helping to heal the world.
