A warm invitation to join us for meditation.
Sundays at 7.00pm-8.00pm
Except the third Sunday of every month,
when it is 6.30pm-7.30pm
This will consist of periods of silence, quiet reflection, music and meditation commentary. If you have not been to the centre before or are new to the practice of meditation please come 15 minutes earlier so that we can say hello and explain a little about the evening.
Very occasionally, we have to cancel the session, so if you are thinking of coming along please contact us beforehand to make sure it is taking place.

We are living in a golden age of brain research, thanks to scanning machines that illuminate neural circuitry as we perform different functions. So far however this has if anything deepened the mystery of the mind. Support is growing for the idea that rather than being a by-product of brain activity, the mind operates at a deeper level. This helps to explain how we can overcome faulty brain wiring linked to a wide range of illnesses including alcoholism, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, and points to ways of making the brain smarter. In fact, recent evidence indicates that the mind has certain potentials far beyond conscious brain experience. We are not our brains!
About the Speaker
Writer and journalist, Neville Hodgkinson, worked for more than 20 years as medical and science correspondent for several national newspapers in the UK, including The Sunday Times, Sunday Express, and Daily Mail. He has a particular interest in building bridges between science and spirituality and has been a co-organiser of four international symposia on science and consciousness.
He is also chairman of the Janki Foundation for Global Health care, a UK-based charity which encourages research and awareness in the field of spirituality and health.
