Asparagus and Red Pepper Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of asparagus
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 1 tbs dried basil
  • 1 tbs dried oregano
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • asoefatida (hing) to taste
  • 3 Cups Bowtie Pasta
  • shredded parmesan cheese to sprinkle

Cooking Instructions:

  • Chop asparagus into 1 inch size pieces & steam in a covered frying pan in about 1/2 inch of water, once tender, drain the water
  • add the olive oil and red pepper to heated pan
  • add basil, oregano, crush red pepper, and hing
  • boil bowtie pasta and set aside
  • once the veggies are ready, reduce heat to warm
  • stir in cooked and drained pasta
  • top with shredded parmesan cheese
